Curso de Verão: Narrativas Queer na literatura Irlandesa

Classes will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on February 2, 3, 4, 9, and 10.

Objective: The course aims to promote both classic and contemporary Irish literature, focusing on narratives that address aspects of gender and sexuality in Irish prose, while considering recent developments in queer studies concerning issues of race, immigration, citizenship, and nationality.

Esther Borges is a PhD student in the English Language and Literature Studies Program at the University of São Paulo (USP). Their research, funded by FAPESP, focuses on the concept of Queer Diaspora in contemporary literature, particularly in the Irish literature of author Adiba Jaigirdar.

Classes will be held via Google Meet.
