The course will promote an approach to Irish literature, art, and history and its relation to Latin America. It will focus on the celebration of the centenary of the country's independence, and the influence it has had on other cultural spheres. The seminar is part of the academic activities of the four Chairs of Irish Studies that exist in Latin American Universities: the Extraordinary Chair of Irish Studies Eavan Boland-Anne Enright (UNAM); the W. B. Yeats Chair of Irish Studies (USP); and the two Argentinian Extracurricular Chairs of Irish Studies (USAL & UNLPam).
